In September 2013, De Bruyn’s conducted a series of informative Mental Health Awareness Sessions for its employees are part of our commitment to our health and wellbeing program. These sessions were conducted by Wayne Foss from OzHelp Tasmania Foundation whose ability to engage with our employees was excellent and prompted a lot of discussion, both during and after the sessions.
Next month, in November 2013, we revisit our Depot Health Challenges with HealthSeek. Di McShane and her colleagues will visit each Depot and follow up on the six monthly challenges as well as conduct quick health checks and provide information on healthy eating and exercise options.
All of this is part of De Bruyn’s commitment to its workforce as well as to its customers. Physical and mental health is critical to everyone’s wellbeing and we want to encourages our workforce to ‘work to live’ and enjoy life both in and out of work. We also want our customers to be confident with the people we use to handle and deliver their goods, which is becoming increasingly critical in chain of responsibility environment.
